... finally!

Journal Entry: Tue Oct 25, 2011, 11:31 PM

... finally!

Finally, after about 9 months the time had come: the court hearing!

For those who read that but don´t know what this is about: 9 months ago, on the 19.01.2011 my little siter (20 years) was killed in a car accident. She simply had been ran over. That dude who´s responsible for her death outran two cars and cut back into the line, while doing that he lost control of his vehicle. He crashed into a bunsh of parked cars and 3 pedestrians. My sister was one of these 3 persons and the only one who died.

I don´t want to go into detail what was said at the hearing, only the punishment. After 5 long pleadings the judge decided to confine him for one year and take away his drivers license for a year as well. From my point of view a way too mild punishment, considering what he has done, let alone thinking about the punishment in other cases. Such as copyright pirates, for something like that you can get up to 5 years. So tell me, where is there a relation???

Is a human life worth so less?

I find it ridiculous being confined for so long for such a "cheap" felony, but if you run someone over you the punishment is rather mild. Sure, copyright pirates need to be punished, they are criminals, but not in this measure. Or, if they really need to set the scale so high, they need to bring other crimes, such as killing someone, in relation to that and punish them even harder. In case of the copyright pirates it´s not a person who is directly affected but a company on a financial level - there I must say: HELLO?! Is that it? Is money so much more worth than a life?

Think about what you´re doing here! Is that "justice"?

I don´t think so, not at all!

We lost sight of the important things in life.

We´re only interested in money, money, money and the more money we have, the better we feel. It became quite rare for us to think of other people rater than thinking of ourselves. We became a race of pure egoists...

But the most important thing is life itself. It is precious and by far not sure. We shouldn´t put money at first place in our lives and find back to what connects us all: the life. It is time to finally start to think about one another and to appricate life as it is. And not only life. We became quite easy-going and take things for granted such as having food every day, even the food we want to have.

Wake up, folks!

And now - thank you for reading. Comments are really appricated :)

I am sorry for what happened. I really must say, it's sad he got only one year... It is too little for what the done...

But you need to stay strong, for the sake of your family. And not to be weighted by his punishment. This person surely suffered for what he done, and will suffer longer knowing he caused such a tragedy because of his careless. He will feel guilty till the end of his life, and lack of good punishment by court don't mean he will not be punished by his conscience.
When bad things are happening, my mother use to say; Everything will be fine. God is good, he will watch over us. ;) And I agree. God will watch over us. But we also need to watch over ourselves and over others. Take care of yourself, and of your family, and treasure every moment of lives you share, for that's what really is important, and I know you know that :cuddle:

My condolences once again. I remember when you made journal about it, I really was hit, and I couldn't imagine what it would be like loosing someone precious to me... Have a bug nice hug, I hope it will help you feel little better... :huggle::tighthug::hug:

He isn´t suffering at all, he doesn´t care and he proved it now for real.
yesterday I found out he´s going into revision.
With that action he´s yelling at our faces "I don´t care what I´ve done, and I for sure won´t be in prison!"
Back at the court, the only thing he cared about what how sick his mother was. That was the only moment when you felt he was really caring. But not about killing someone.

 Thank you, dear!

I am sorry to hear that. I was assuming he was more less normal person... But from what you're telling me, I must say he can't be. Acting like there's not blood on his hands... I guess not all people have heart.... I am completely stunned by his shameless acting... He definitely deserves much stronger punishment... I cross fingers for revision not to be done. He doesn't deserve it, and if there is justice he won't get it

My dad thought so too. At first he wanted to talk to him, but after he found out what an ashole that person is he just wanted to punsh his face.
I hope he´ll get what he deserves sometimes...

He will get what he deserves one day, I am sure. Everybody gets what they deserve, sooner or later.
As I said, people like him don't deserve us to be frustrated for their stupidity and ignorance; they deserve nothing but contempt...

Keep strong; don't let one evil fool destroy your life. Here, have some hugs, trust me, everything will turn out fine at the end, and he will get what he deserves, and your family will find its peace again

Oh dear, I am sorry to hear about it... I think the punishment is way to mild... I can't understand they won't do more than this with this irresponsible assassin... I feel so sorry. But the Nature will take care of him, and I am sure he will pay for what he did... A strong hug for you. I can't imagine the pain it is to lose a sister or a brother...

Thank you, dear!
That´s the German "justice" system, lol. It sucks!

You think so? Like how? Ending up in hell? (if there is a hell)

I see, looks like the value of a human life is going too small... I don't believe in God or the Devil the way poeple do. But I have observed that poeple with bad actions end up with horrible deceases and die tragically. Not that it doesn't happen good poeple (like your sister, which I am very sorry for), but it happens more often to bad poeple. Sometimes not even a tragical decease or death, but a lot of suffering, sadness in their lives... And I do believe, somehow, there are levels/plains which are good and evil. And that you may go to them when you die... It's difficult to be precise, as I haven't died and return from the dead to tell how it is on the other side... But this is a subject I often think about... Take care, dear!
