Opinions are a Dangerous thing: Art StylesThis isn't about narking on anyone no, infact this is just my own muses really! You could say this is a journal for ENCOURAGEMENT! *SHINES*
I find sticking to one style restrictive if you are a beginning/moderate artist! (even professionals I might say! though I can't speak for everyone)
Having a distinctive look on how your art is done and produced is understandable and its a desire to appear unique to the point some one can just SEE your work and instantly think 'Oh! that's Ten-days!' or something along the line. However, when you are trying to find who you are and what kind of art you are to produce, I recommend trying, well, a lot of different things! Different styles, mixing styles, different colouring techinque, brushes, tools, shading. Don't feel dependant on what you are already doing and don't feel pressured by people just for trying new things!
Push out of your comfort zone. Can't draw hands? don't avoid it! draw the heck out of them! (how else are you going to learn?)

It's really choppy and suuuuuper scribbly because I took like 30 seconds to draw each frame. Please fill in the gaps and gloss over the art with your wonderful imagination! I made it in Windows Movie Maker which is an absolutely evil program =o=

Eurovision nightGot myself some ice cream and will be making myself compfy on the sofa so I'm ready for the big, glittery, horrible music, camp, pointless politics, drama that is eurovision. It never disappoints me.

Nintendo STEALS Money!Since this has been going around lately, I should probably give my two cents. Basically what it amounts to is that Nintendo has filed Content ID info of their games with YouTube. What this means is that if you upload gameplay video of a Nintendo game, YouTube will automatically monetize that video, put ads on it, a link to where to buy the game, and take the money generated from that video and give it directly to Nintendo. People who do "let's play" videos are, naturally, pissed off because they want to be earning money off their videos, so they're calling Nintendo "thieves" for doing this.
I can see both sides to the story. I can see Nintendo as a corporation wanting to exercise control over their properties. On the other hand, "let's play" videos can often help new gamers find games they otherwise wouldn't have tried.
But here's the thing: Nintendo isn't the first company do this. Both Microsoft and Ubisoft do it already. YouTube has also had a long history of having music videos and

Yay, about 1 1/2 weeks ago I had my LASEK surgery - finally!
I´ve wanted to do that for ages and now it´s DONE!
It´s a strange and wonderful feeling at the same time

I had to wear glasses or contact lenses for about 15 years, it feels so strange to finally see sharp without any help!

Right after the surgery I was already able to see almost as sharp as with glasses (and I thought it would take a few days/weeks until I could get to that point! Damn, I was so surprised

). But the first day also was the worst, soon after the analgetic eye drops wore off and I had to put in the antibiotic eye drops I was so in pain. I wasn´t even able to hold my eyes open long enough to find the analgetic eye drops they gave me, wasn´t even able to call anyone to help me *drop*
The day after was much better and my sight had even increased!

Since I had a LASEK instead of a LASIK surgery it´ll take much longer for my eyes to be perfect, but it´s already good enough to drive a car again and do all kinds of stuff! (I was so worried to not being able to cook food for myself, because my sight was so bad before and because I thought it would take a while until I could see again

)

Never thought I would feel so much better now that I don´t have to use glasses and lenses anymore! I almost feel like a new person

So I apologize to everyone for not being active for so long >__<''''
Hope I find some time to draw again soon (but I lack some inspiration...)

Well, I kind of used to it, since I wear them from my 3.5 year.. I wonder how it looks without them... *sigh*
But who knows why that is good. It seems like it's my destiny.

i never got used to my glasses, that´s why i wore contact lenses most of the time, but they were bad as well...
and since my insurance paid part of the surgery i saved all my money to finally get rid of the glasses

Wow...I envy you so much! I've been wearing glasses since the first year of elementary school and they just told me I'll have to use them all my life, even getting surgery...so it kind of lost magic for me. I used to think it would cure me too, but it seems it is helpless...I'm really blind lol.

Enjoy your new eyes for me, yes? lol....anyway I am thinking in taking the surgery when the docs say I am able to (I still have to wait some years). I may need glasses and lens forever but I might be able to get a less strong prescription (: That would help, huh.

Anyway, I'm happy you can enjoy it (: is it easy? I would feel so strange without any lens or glasses.

One of them is -5 and the other -14. It's because of the -14 what they said XD

But who knows...MAYBE I have luck and there is some way. You just never know and medicine moves near technology in progress matters

But anyway I have to wait till I am older to get surgery XD

I have been told years ago that I wouldn't get my eyes fixed totally so it is okay. Still, I'd like to get surgery to -at least- have more chances to make my glasses be lighter than they currently are

And yeah, -14 is kind of bad, sadly. Without glasses I can see very little.
